Leigh Wanamaker has been a dental hygienist for 25 years and has been working for Dr. Mancini since 2010. She was born and raised in Smithtown Long Island. Leigh graduated at the top of her class with an applied science degree from Farmingdale University School of Dental Hygiene. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Society, a member of the AAOSH American Academy of Oral Systemic Health. Leigh started in pediatric dentistry but most of her career has been spent in general dentistry on the East End. Leigh continues to stay current with the latest science, technology, and techniques in her profession. Leigh has a holistic approach to dental hygiene. She believes the mouth is the window to the health of the body. She is passionate about teaching patients to take charge of their own wellness - of both mouth and body. Leigh’s perfect leisurely day would be paddle boarding the East End waters with her dog Buddy, and finishing up the day with a picnic on the beach with her husband John.
